PhD Opening in Robot Learning and Control Fall 2026
The Robotic Actuators and Dynamics Lab in the School of Matter, Transport, and Energy (SEMTE) at Arizona State University is seeking motivated candidates for a fully-funded Ph.D. in robotics, starting in Fall 2026. Ph.D. students will receive tuition, health insurance coverage and a stipend.
Project:
The student will work on the machine learning and control of robots for locomotion and mobile manipulation with our customized platforms (Quadruped and humanoid robots).
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, and mechanical engineering, or similar.
- Strong background in control, machine learning, dynamics modeling, autonomous systems, and embedded systems.
- Preferred skills: Linux, ROS, Docker, Python, C++, Issac Lab, MuJoCo,
- Prior experience in publications
